Claire's Confections Turns 1

Wow I can't believe I'm sitting here in my kitchen writing this! It has officially been 1 year since I started Claire's Confections. When I first started it I never imagined it would grow as much as it has in just one year. I have to start by saying thank you to all my friends and family for supporting me and sharing my business with others. Most importantly I have to say thank you to my parents for supporting me 110% with whatever I take on because with out their support I would not have accomplished all I have today.

When I first started this I could only imagine doing the things I am doing now. I thought it would take forever for my business to grow like it has. In just the past few months I have been getting orders every week! At first all my orders came from friends or family. As I began to grow my online presence through my Instagram/Facebook and my website, Claire's Confections has grown so much. I went from just making little cookies to now doing 2 weddings in the same month! I get asked a lot by my parents and others how I manage my crazy schedule with school, cheer, student government, sports, serving at church and baking and sometimes I ask myself that too. I know that God is with me through out this journey and I am so beyond grateful and blessed that I am able to do what I love and call it my "job" because I can't imagine doing anything else.

I can't wait to continue to learn new things and recipes! Sometimes it can get overwhelming but for me the feeling of just being in a nice clean kitchen and then making a mess while listening to my favorite country music gives me a sense of peace. Even when there is a huge mess in the kitchen to clean up I always know that something special for someone was created from it and that is something I cherish. I have so many ideas and plans for the future of my business and I can't wait to continue this journey whatever it may bring.
